The FEISAR Prototype is a ship featured in Wipeout 2048.

Description[]

Experimenting with a fuel system which charges from speed pads, this FEISAR has a variable top speed. While starting off at a slower speed than the rest of the pack, the engine receives a charge from speed pads, providing a more permanent speed increase, exceeding the stated speed class of any race. Exactly what will happen at maximum velocity is still unknown at this stage. This charge system will reset on new laps and after heavy collisions.

Overview[]

This is probably the most sophisticated racing machine you've ever seen! It's all because while it starts off slower than the other ships, the FEISAR Prototype gains a permanent boost to its top speed with every Speed Pad it passes over, causing it to go faster and faster as its speed boost meter is being charged. Once this meter is fully charged, this ship will end up faster than the Pir-hana Speed, and even the Pir-hana Prototype at times. All of this makes the FEISAR Prototype a ship of choice for Time Trials and Speed Laps, where most players who use this ship get faster times and make it to the Top 10 leaderboards. You can also attempt to make your own records with this ship, just remember to make use of those airbrakes. Oh, and a few more things to know – the speed boost meter resets on every lap, and loses its charge whenever it comes into impact with walls, other ships or weapons. Every other aspect of this prototype ship is almost exactly the same as the original FEISAR Speed, where it retains said ship's sharp handling, especially when compared to other Speed ships, which can also put it at an advantage.

Trivia[]

  • Out of all the ships in general, it has a unique speedometer seen on the HUD, which resembles the team's logo, so as to better accommodate the speed pad charge meter.
  • In the original PS Vita version of 2048, this ship has a unique sound effect compared to all the other ships in the game when it hits a speed pad. This was not carried over to Wipeout Omega Collection.
